Demtec DEN Soil Hopper

If you own a potting machine or tray filler it's easy to understand the importance of a large soil hopper on your machine.

Most of our machines have hoppers ranging from 0.6 m³ to 2 m³. This is fine for small production runs. However when large production runs are required we suggest adding the Demtec DEN to the production line.

The Demtec DEN is available in  6 m³ and 10 m³  versions and provides a buffer between to allow extended running time on the production line. The Demtec DEN delivers soil on an on-demand basis.

We find in many New Zealand nurseries there are number of people working next to or around the potting machine or tray filling line. Having a machine driving in and out of the working area tipping soil into a hopper presents a health and safety risk to those workers. With a  6 m³  Demtec DEN, the nurseries often reduce the need to fill hopers to once or twice a day, allowing the filling process to take place while workers are not in the area.

The Demtec DEN will discharge into the potting machine or tray filler hopper without operator intervention. The Demtec DEN electronically detects the need to supply soil, this gives an added advantage as hoppers are always running at the optimum level.
